The origins of Aircraft Radio and latterly, GPS & Radio Wholesalers Australia date back to 1999 when Jeff Holland established the avionics maintenance business.

Today, Aircraft Radio is an amalgamation of the businesses formerly known as Aviation Products & Services and Aircraft Radio Sales & Services. Jeff’s association with these businesses goes back to 1987 when the original business was part of the AWA (Amalgamated Wireless Australia) network.

Over a period of time, the company has changed its name and acquired a number of other businesses along the way.

Since establishing the business, Jeff, together with his workshop manager Kevin Windle, has developed the team and substantially raised the level of expertise.
This has resulted in upgraded licence coverage so that Aircraft Radio has become a fully approved aircraft Electrical, Instrument and Radio Workshop.

Jeff and the team also realised their expertise extended to both communication and navigation options in other areas beyond aviation. Hence, GPS & Radio Wholesalers Australia was established to service the communication and navigation needs in areas of land and marine usage as well.

Today, Aircraft Radio has six engineers with more than 100 years of experience in aviation technology and a dedicated team with a background in marine and land based GPS and communication systems.

Jeff has had the privilege of working with two original 1990 team members, engineer, John van Burck and office administrator, Lynn Banner who are both still with the company today.
